After a few months, your wormery will start to produce a rich, dark liquid – known as worm tea or worm leachate. This is a fantastic, natural plant feed.
When and How to Collect Worm Tea
Drain the sump in the Collector Tray regularly once the liquid starts to build up. Use the tap to release the worm tea into a container.
How to Use Worm Tea in the Garden
Always dilute worm tea 1:10 with water before feeding it to houseplants, tomatoes, or any garden plants. It's packed with nutrients and makes a brilliant organic fertiliser.
Gardeners’ Tip: Drain the sump frequently to avoid any build-up – the fresher the worm tea, the better!
