Keep it simple — a little goes a long way.

In feed

Add a small sprinkle to feed:

  • a light dusting is enough
  • mix in well
  • use regularly rather than heavily

In bedding

Lightly scatter over:

  • straw
  • shavings
  • coop floors

Focus on areas where:

  • droppings build up
  • moisture sits
  • smells develop

Same Bokashi — different job

This is exactly the same Bokashi Bran used for composting.

But here it’s being used as:

  • a natural feed support
  • a bedding improver
  • a manure enhancer

👉 Same microbes. Different use.

We produce our Bokashi in 3 tonne batches using wheat bran and live microbes.

It’s properly fermented, then stabilised so it:

  • stores well
  • stays consistent
  • is easy to use

No imports. No relabelling. No mystery.

Just properly made Bokashi.

  • healthier coop environment
  • reduced smells
  • improved manure quality
  • supports bird wellbeing
  • simple to use

Once people start using it, it tends to become part of the routine.

Storage & Freshness
– Keep sealed and dry to protect live microbes.
– Avoid moisture until you’re ready to use.
– Use within 18 months for best results.

Goes Well With
Wiggly Layers Pellets with Bokashi – balanced nutrition + microbes.
Wiggly Layers Mash with Bokashi – great for free-range hens.
Wiggly Mixed Corn – afternoon scratch treat for enrichment.

Quick FAQs
Can it replace grit? No — Bokashi complements grit, not replaces it.
Is it safe for chicks? Yes, it gently supports gut flora from day one.
How does it reduce methane? Bokashi microbes shift decomposition from rotting to fermenting — locking more carbon into compost.
Is it UK-made? 100% on our regenerative farm in Herefordshire.

Wiggly Tips

  • a light sprinkle is enough — don’t overdo it
  • use little and often rather than large amounts
  • focus on problem areas in the coop
  • keep it dry and sealed between uses

The simple truth

You’re not adding chemicals.
You’re not masking smells.

You’re supporting the biology. And when the biology is right — everything else improves.

The Wiggly Story: Bringing Your Garden to Life.

Nestled in the heart of rural Herefordshire, within The Duchy of Cornwall estate lies Lower Blakemere Farm – the cherished home of Wiggly Wigglers and founder, Heather Gorringe. From its humble beginnings on Heather’s kitchen table over 30 years ago, our small but dedicated team is working hard on a legacy of sustainability and regeneration. Our farm isn’t merely a plot of land; it’s a dynamic hub where we’re aiming to balance food production with biodiversity and since we started our regenerative journey there’s a real focus on improving soil health and sustainability. What our customers say

Brilliant live worms and great service! I ordered a batch of live composting worms for my new wormery, and they arrived in perfect condition — lively, healthy, and ready to get to work straight away. The packaging was eco-friendly, and the team even included a little guide on how to settle them in. My kitchen scraps are disappearing fast, and I’ve already started harvesting my first bit of worm compost. Couldn’t be happier!

Fantastic bokashi composting advice As a complete beginner to bokashi composting, I really appreciated how helpful the team were. They answered all my questions quickly and gave me simple, clear instructions to get started. The bokashi bran is top quality and smells fresh and pleasant. After just a few weeks, I’ve turned my kitchen waste into brilliant compost-ready material with no odour or mess. Highly recommended!

Top-notch British birdseed mix The British birdseed from Wigglys is superb. It attracts a lovely variety of garden birds — robins, finches, and even a pair of goldfinches have started visiting regularly. You can tell it’s a quality mix with no fillers or dust. Delivery was quick, and everything was packaged sustainably. It’s become my go-to source for bird feed!
