  1. Cover the bottom of your mealworm container with Wiggly Farm Blend.
  2. Add your live mealworms.
  3. Add a small piece of carrot, potato or apple for moisture.
  4. Replace fresh vegetables every few days.
  5. Top up Farm Blend as required.
  6. Remove frass regularly to keep everything clean and fresh.

Store somewhere cool and dry.

Is this just bedding?

No. Wiggly Farm Blend acts as both bedding and a balanced food source.

Can't I just use bran?

You can, but Wiggly Farm Blend provides a more balanced diet than bran alone, helping keep mealworms in better condition.

What should I use for moisture?

Fresh carrot, potato or apple all work well. Replace them regularly before they begin to dry out or spoil.

How long will my mealworms last?

When kept cool, dry and well cared for with Wiggly Farm Blend and fresh moisture, live mealworms can remain in excellent condition for several weeks.

Can I breed mealworms?

Yes! Wiggly Farm Blend also makes an excellent base for keeping and breeding mealworms.

What should I do with the frass?

Don't throw it away. Mealworm frass is an excellent natural soil improver and can be sprinkled around houseplants, flowers, vegetables and containers.

If your order contains JUST live worms and is under 2 kilos - whether that’s composting worms, wax worms or mealworms - you will have the option in the checkout to choose standard delivery at £4.95. This is because we can use Royal Mail for this service. Otherwise you will see the extra cost options for a courier to deliver your package. Please note there is no guaranteed next day service to these areas, so please allow extra time and track your package for information.
