What started as a fascination with compost worms has grown into over 35 years of helping gardeners make brilliant compost, feed their birds, improve their soil and discover that nature usually knows what she's doing.

These days you'll find us at Lower Blakemere Farm in Herefordshire, where we're putting all those years of curiosity into practice. Every day we're learning more about healthy soil, regenerative farming, wildlife and biodiversity—and occasionally being reminded that nature has a wonderful sense of humour.

We're not interested in gardening fads.

We're interested in what actually works.

If we discover something that helps worms thrive, vegetables grow, birds flourish or soil become healthier, you'll probably hear about it. Usually in a video. Sometimes covered in mud. Occasionally with a cow wandering into shot.

That's because we don't believe gardening should be complicated.

It should be fascinating.

It should be fun.

And it should leave your little corner of the world looking better than when you started.

So whether you've come here to compost your kitchen peelings, feed the robin outside your window, grow tomatoes that actually taste like tomatoes or simply find out why worms are some of the hardest workers you'll ever meet...

...you're in exactly the right place.

Welcome to Wiggly Wigglers. Let's bring your garden to life. From the soil up.

A Kitchen Table, A Worm and a Big Idea

Nobody ever says, "When I grow up, I'd like to spend my life talking about worms."

Yet here we are.

What began with a kitchen table, a telephone and an unhealthy enthusiasm for compost worms somehow became Wiggly Wigglers. Looking back, it makes perfect sense. At the time... perhaps not so much.

🐛 Wiggly Wisdom

Never underestimate a worm. They've been improving soil for millions of years without sending a single invoice.

Growing Up Wiggly

The business has changed enormously over the years.

The excitement of the first orders.

The first members of the team.

The first warehouse.

Thousands upon thousands of customers.

Millions of worms.

A few disasters.

Lots of laughter.

One thing never changed: if we wouldn't use it ourselves, we wouldn't sell it.

🌱 Wiggly Wisdom

The best fertiliser you'll ever add is curiosity. Keep asking "Why?" and your garden will teach you plenty.

Lower Blakemere Farm

Moving to Lower Blakemere Farm felt like coming home.

This is where everything came together.

Instead of simply talking about compost and healthy soil, we could put our ideas into practice every single day. We could see what worked, admit when something didn't and keep learning.

The farm isn't our showroom.

It's our classroom.

🐄 Wiggly Wisdom

If you think farming always goes to plan, you've clearly never tried explaining your plans to a cow.

Learning From Nature

The biggest lesson we've learned?

Nature is incredibly clever.

Healthy soil grows healthy plants.

Healthy plants feed insects.

Insects feed birds.

Birds spread seeds.

Leaves become compost.

The compost feeds the soil...

...and round it goes again.

We're simply trying to lend nature a helping hand rather than getting in her way.

🌼 Wiggly Wisdom

Feed the soil first. Everything else tends to queue up afterwards.

Meet the Family

Wiggly Wigglers has always been a family business.

You'll meet me (usually talking far too much), Phil (usually fixing something I've accidentally broken), Monty, our brilliant team, our dogs, our cows, our birds and quite a few creatures that weren't invited but seem determined to appear on camera anyway.

That's exactly how we like it.

🐦 Wiggly Wisdom

A garden with birdsong always feels richer, even if your wallet doesn't.

Life on the Farm

Every hedge, every pond, every field and every compost heap teaches us something.

Sometimes it's a huge breakthrough.

Sometimes it's simply confirmation that worms don't read instruction manuals either.

Whatever we learn, we'll share it.

The successes.

The failures.

The experiments.

The funny moments.

Because if it saves you making the same mistake, it's worth telling.

🪱 Wiggly Wisdom

The worms don't care what your neighbours think. They're too busy making compost.

Why We Share Everything

People often ask why we make so many videos.

It's simple.

Gardening is more enjoyable when someone helps you along the way.

If we can answer a question, solve a problem or make you smile while you're emptying the compost bin, we've done our job.

Looking Ahead

Our mission hasn't really changed.

We still want to help people compost better.

But today it's about something even bigger.

Helping people create healthier soil.

Healthier gardens.

More wildlife.

More birdsong.

More butterflies.

More worms.

More life.

One garden at a time.

Thank you for being part of the journey so far.
