Feeding garden birds with berry suet pellets is straightforward and rewarding. For best results, use a suet pellet or peanut feeder, which can be hung from tree branches or bird feeding stations. This allows easy access for birds and keeps the pellets dry. Place the feeder in a quiet, sheltered spot to offer birds a safe feeding environment, away from predators. Regularly filling the feeder with berry suet pellets not only ensures a constant supply of nutritious food for your feathered friends but also turns your garden into a lively hub for birdwatching. By integrating these suet pellets into your bird feeding routine, you're not just feeding the local birds; you're actively contributing to their health and survival, enriching the biodiversity of your garden.

Pellets contain: Suet, Wheat Flour, Peanut Flour, Oat Flour, Millet Flour, Dried Berry, Food Colour

Q: What are suet pellets, and why are they good for birds? A: Suet pellets are compact, energy-rich bird food made from a mix of fats, seeds, and grains. They provide essential nutrients and calories, especially beneficial during colder months when birds require extra energy to stay warm.

Q: How do I feed suet pellets to birds? A: Simply place suet pellets in specialised feeders or sprinkle them on a tray. Ensure the feeders are secure and easily accessible to birds. Clean the feeders regularly to maintain hygiene.

Q: What types of birds enjoy suet pellets? A: Suet pellets attract a variety of birds, including woodpeckers and nuthatches. They are a favourite among insect-eating species.

Q: When is the best time to offer suet pellets? A: Suet pellets can be provided year-round, but they are particularly beneficial in winter when birds need additional calories. However, avoid placing them in direct sunlight during hot weather to prevent melting.

Q: How often should I refill the suet pellet feeders? A: Check feeders regularly and refill them as needed. This ensures a constant supply for the birds and helps you monitor bird activity in your feeding area.

Q: Are suet pellets suitable for all bird species? A: While many birds enjoy suet pellets, some might prefer different types of food. Experiment with a variety of bird feed to attract a diverse range of species to your feeding station.

Q: Can suet pellets attract unwanted pests? A: Properly designed feeders can help minimise access for larger pests. Regular cleaning and monitoring can further discourage unwanted visitors.

Q: How do I store suet pellets? A: Store suet pellets in a cool, dry place to prevent them from becoming rancid.
