This pack contains;

120g of Live Mealworms

- Live Mealworms (Tenebrio molitor) are our best selling live food, and the number one choice for feeding wild birds. Their bodies are made up of over 48% crude protein and 40% fat making them an excellent, proven food for all insect eating garden birds.

120g of Live Mini Mealworms

- Minis are young mealworms (13 to 18mm long). As with the other mealworm species we supply their diet is vegetarian. This means that they are safe to feed to birds and cannot pass on diseases which may be found in larvae fed on meat, such as maggots. Particularly moist, Minis are very suitable for feeding to fledglings as they are unable to obtain water by drinking.

2x 40g tubs of Live Waxworms

- Waxworms (Galleria mellonella) are the larvae of the Greater Wax Moth and get their name because they are most commonly found in honeycombs of beeswax. Their soft body is easily digestible and very nutritious. They are rich in protein, moisture and fat, making them an even more juicy meal than mealworms.

Please note: mealworms (Live or Dried) must not be fed to hens (after the BSE epidemic and Foot and Mouth outbreak all insect proteins were stopped as feed for farm animals by DEFRA).
