Q: I’ve just had a new build and the soil is pretty poor—are your Wiggly Garden Worms any good for improving it?
A: Absolutely! Our Wiggly Garden Worms are fantastic for improving poor or compacted soils. When introduced into your garden soil, these worms burrow and aerate the earth, breaking up heavy clay or compacted ground and creating channels for air, water, and roots to penetrate.
As they tunnel and feed, they also mix organic matter into the soil and leave behind nutrient-rich castings, which are a natural fertiliser packed with essential minerals and microbes. Over time, this significantly boosts soil structure, fertility, and drainage.
For new build soils, which can be lifeless and lacking in organic matter, adding worms can kickstart soil life and help establish a healthy, thriving garden from the ground up.
