Birds often 'unpeel' the seeds you put out and leave the papery husks behind. Well, not any more! This feed contains only the heart of the seeds, making it more appealing to the birds, and more appealing to you!!
Wiggly Huskless feed can be fed from a hanging feeder, or a table or the ground, and can be fed all year round.
Contains:
Sunflower Hearts, all the goodness and popularity of sunflowers, packed with oil, so bursting with energy, but with no shell so no effort required - what more could these birds want?
Pinhead Oats, Whole oats, cut into pieces, making them much easier for birds such as Robins and Wrens to feed on.
Peanut Pieces, all the goodness of peanuts, high in protein and fats, but chopped into smaller pieces, to make them easier for smaller birds to eat help to reduce the risk of smaller and young birds choking
Cut Maize, an excellent source of carbohydrates, with a lower level of protein than the other feeds. The larger birds such as Poultry, Doves, Pigeons and Pheasants etc mostly eat it.
White Millet, a small white seed, favoured by both tree and house sparrows, reed buntings, finches and tits, siskins and wrens. It is far superior to the red variety, as it has a thin hull, so is easy for these small birds to eat.
and Canary Seed, These are super fine, and as their name suggests, are favoured by all of the smaller birds.
Why buy your Birdfood from Wiggly Wigglers
With all of our experience we really do know what your birdees like best - Our birdfood mixes have been put together to get the best possible outcome for you and your garden birds!
At Wiggly Wigglers, we’re committed to eco-conscious practices at every stage of birdseed production. We grow several ingredients ourselves, source others from local farmer friends, and buy the rest from a seed merchant with whom we’ve built a trusted relationship over 30 years. Your seed is always bagged fresh to order: smaller sizes are packed in plain paper bags, which are fully compostable, and 12.55kg sizes in reusable, recyclable woven polyprop bags. This packaging approach means no extra boxes or plastic, making it a more sustainable choice for you and the environment.
High-oil content ensures energy for birds year-round.
Compostable plain paper bags are also great for raised bed liners.
Bulk sizes in woven polyprop eliminate the need for extra transport packaging.
Who You’ll Attract Expect a garden full of life — robins, wrens, blue tits, great tits, finches, sparrows, dunnocks and blackbirds all love this mix. Perfect for feeders, tables or ground feeding — wherever you want to see birds up close without the husky mess.
How to Feed Suitable for seed feeders, bird tables or ground feeding. Top up little and often — fresh seed attracts more birds than a feeder that’s always full.
Wiggly Tip 2.5 kg feeds an average garden for a couple of weeks — smaller, regular orders keep your birds (and your seed) in peak condition.
Our Regenerative Farm Every bag you buy supports Lower Blakemere Farm in Herefordshire — our family farm where we work with nature, not against it. We’ve stopped ploughing, introduced mob grazing for our cattle, planted miles of hedgerows, and produce composts, compost teas, and worm-based soil enhancers to build living soil.
By growing, mixing, and packing our birdseed here, we keep food miles low, build biodiversity, and help farmland birds like skylarks and yellowhammers thrive again. When you buy Wiggly Wigglers seed, you’re not just feeding your garden birds — you’re feeding the whole ecosystem.
Sustainability & Packaging We believe packaging should be part of the solution, not the problem.
Our smaller bags are plain paper and fully compostable, perfect for home composting or recycling.
Our larger 12.55 kg sacks are reusable and recyclable woven polyprop bags — strong enough to be returned to us for reuse.
These sturdy bags are sent without extra outer packaging, saving waste and resources while keeping your seed perfectly protected.
Simple, sensible, and sustainable — that’s the Wiggly way.
Nature Benefits Feeding garden birds helps balance your garden’s ecosystem. Birds eat insects and pests, spread seeds, and return nutrients to the soil — making your garden healthier and more resilient. More birds mean more biodiversity, and a better environment for everything from pollinators to people.
Good for You Too Watching birds is proven to reduce stress and boost wellbeing. It’s a simple act that connects you to nature and brings the joy of birdsong right to your doorstep.
Subscribe & Save Keep your feeders topped up all year with our Subscribe & Save option. Save 10 % on every order and receive fresh, farm-mixed bird food as often as you choose. Regular top-ups mean fresher seed, healthier birds, and one less thing to remember.
Gift This You can also send this mix as a one-off gift or a gift subscription. Just select the gift option at checkout, and we’ll send it directly to the recipient — or to you if you prefer to hand it over yourself. It’s a thoughtful, sustainable present that brings wildlife, song, and joy to any garden.
Storage & Freshness Store in a cool, dry, sealed container. Avoid damp sheds or warm spots. Bird seed is a natural product and moths and mites are naturally attracted to it — so buy little and often for the best results. Keep feeders clean and dry to protect your garden birds’ health.
Wiggly Tip: Fresh seed equals more birds — and fewer pests. Order regularly for the best results.
Quick FAQs
Will it sprout under my feeder? No. This mix is completely husk-free — every seed is edible, so nothing germinates beneath.
Is it safe for fledglings? Yes. All ingredients are bite-sized and soft enough for small or young birds.
How long will it keep? If stored cool and dry, several months — but for best results and freshness, buy little and often.
Cross-Sell Suggestions Works brilliantly with our I Love Robins Feeder, Wiggly Seed Scoop, and Seasonal Birdy Box Subscription.

Brilliant live worms and great service!
I ordered a batch of live composting worms for my new wormery, and they arrived in perfect condition — lively, healthy, and ready to get to work straight away. The packaging was eco-friendly, and the team even included a little guide on how to settle them in. My kitchen scraps are disappearing fast, and I’ve already started harvesting my first bit of worm compost. Couldn’t be happier!

Fantastic bokashi composting advice
As a complete beginner to bokashi composting, I really appreciated how helpful the team were. They answered all my questions quickly and gave me simple, clear instructions to get started. The bokashi bran is top quality and smells fresh and pleasant. After just a few weeks, I’ve turned my kitchen waste into brilliant compost-ready material with no odour or mess. Highly recommended!

Top-notch British birdseed mix
The British birdseed from Wigglys is superb. It attracts a lovely variety of garden birds — robins, finches, and even a pair of goldfinches have started visiting regularly. You can tell it’s a quality mix with no fillers or dust. Delivery was quick, and everything was packaged sustainably. It’s become my go-to source for bird feed!
The seed looks great quality and a good mixture. Only just filled up the feeder so I will have to see what the birds think.
