For over 35 years we’ve believed that healthy gardens start with healthy soil. That hasn’t changed, but recently we’ve discovered there’s a whole hidden world beneath our feet that makes everything we already knew about composting and worms make even more sense.

Working with Artur and Marta from Bactotech UK, we’ve spent months exploring the living biology inside compost and soil at Lower Blakemere Farm. Looking through a microscope, we quickly realised that worms are only part of the story. Billions of beneficial microorganisms are already hard at work, recycling nutrients, improving soil structure and creating the conditions for healthy plants to thrive.

That journey has inspired our brand new Soil & Sense range.
