Product Overview:

Wiggly Moisture Mats are a great way to help maintain a healthy worm farm. Crafted from natural hemp, these mats sit on top of your worm bedding to keep it moist and aerated, ensuring optimal conditions for your worms to thrive. By preventing drying out and encouraging consistent composting, they help produce nutrient-rich worm castings and liquid fertiliser for your garden.

Available in packs of 2, 4, or 6, they’re perfect for worm farmers of all sizes.

Why Choose Wiggly Moisture Mats?

  • Perfect for Worms: Keeps bedding moist, encouraging worms to stay active and process waste efficiently.

  • Minimises Odours: Supports aerobic composting, reducing unpleasant smells.

  • Eco-Friendly: Made from biodegradable hemp, the mats naturally break down and contribute to your compost.

  • Versatile Sizes: Choose from packs of 2, 4, or 6 to suit your needs.

How to Use:

  1. Place the mat directly on top of the worm bedding in your wormery.

  2. Lightly mist the mat with water to keep it damp.

  3. Replace the mat once it starts to break down – simply compost the old one!

Why Moisture Mats Matter:

Worms thrive in moist conditions, which allow them to move freely and process organic waste effectively. If the bedding dries out, worms may retreat and slow their activity. Moisture mats provide consistent humidity, ensuring a productive and odour-free worm farm while protecting against pests.

Wiggly Tips for Wormery Success:

  • Monitor Moisture: Your wormery should feel like a damp sponge. Mist the mat lightly if it starts to dry out.

  • Turn the Mat: Occasionally rotate the mat to ensure even moisture distribution.

  • Compost the Old Mat: When the mat starts to disintegrate, you can leave it in your worm farm or add it to your compost – it’s completely biodegradable.

Why Buy from Us?

At Lower Blakemere Farm in Herefordshire, home of Wiggly Wigglers, we run a mixed farm with beef cattle and seed crops. Using regenerative methods, we pre-compost cattle manure in the sheds, which feeds the soil for our crops. In turn, we grow grass seed straw and barley to feed our cattle through winter. Our closed-loop system supports soil health, reduces waste, and promotes sustainability for future generations.
