Our Bestselling Wiggly Worm Blankets/ Moisture Mats!

  • Retains moisture: A worm mat helps to retain moisture in the wormery, creating a consistently humid environment that is ideal for worm activity and decomposition.
  • Prevents fruit flies: Covering the top of the wormery with a mat helps to deter fruit flies from laying eggs in the compost, reducing the risk of infestation and maintaining a cleaner environment.
  • Reduces odor: By acting as a barrier, the worm mat helps to contain odors within the wormery, resulting in a more pleasant composting experience.
  • Provides insulation: The worm mat provides insulation, helping to regulate the temperature inside the wormery and creating a stable environment for the worms to thrive.
  • Protects worms: A worm mat offers protection for the worms from light exposure, which can be harmful to them, ensuring their health and well-being within the wormery ecosystem.

Worms work best in dark, moist conditions. Our breathable Moisture Mats provide these conditions where they are most needed, on the surface of your composter. They encourage the worms to work in the freshest waste, thereby speeding up composting and reducing odours.

Simply pop the mat on the very top of your wormery (just below the lid) and then lift to add waste underneath. Each mat will last 2 Months + and then just pop a replacement on the top.

Made from Extra Thick 1000g/sq.m hemp fibre matting.
