Hi Wigglers
How time flies when you're having fun!?
I was just looking back at my last guest post for Wiggly Wigglers back in August 2009 - National Master Composter Conference 2009 - and have to wonder where the time has gone?
The Master Composters did not have a Conference in 2010 and in the meantime we have been joined by the Master Gardeners.  They are making quite an impact on their local communities - helping them to start growing edible gardens.
I was delighted to be asked by Heather to represent Wiggly Wigglers, leading the two workshops on Wormeries, at Garden Organic's Gardening Conference 2011 where the Master Composters & Master Gardeners had our very own special day on Sunday the 15th of May 2011:
Our programme looked like this (I know the text is very small but if you click on each image it will take you through to a larger image which is legible - remember to come back here!):
I chose to demonstrate the fabulous Wiggly Worm Café and have to say that it was not difficult to talk about "worm poo" and "worm wee" for over an hour at a time.  I had two terrifically nice groups that asked some interesting questions and they in turn had some valuable knowledge of their own to share with their groups:
Our Speakers' biographies - yours truly duly mentioned:
I especially enjoyed listening to Dr Paul Alexander speaking about Peat - Consequences & Alternatives - it makes you think!
Once again we had lovely cake to look forward to for the afternoon tea break:
... and finally the "Master" Award, sponsored by Wiggly Wigglers, went to Vicky Cunningham - CONGRATULATIONS Vicky!
I'm already looking forward to the next Conference and hope that we won't have to wait so long this time!
Happy Composting
