If you are in the mood for flowers....
The Festival of Flowers is to be held in Hereford Cathedral between the 6th and 8th of September. Over 120 arrangements and designs will fill the cathedral. Along with the floral displays, there will be a number of associated events including a series of garden lectures, plant sales, food and craft fairs, an extensive musical programme and the opportunity to enjoy the garden of the Bishop’s Palace. We love flowers and so during the festival, a series of garden lectures - which are being supported by Wiggly Wigglers - will be given by three gardeners with an international reputation. Following each lecture the speaker will be available to talk with guests. The programme is as follows: Thursday 6th September
Writer, historian and gardener Sir Roy Strong will be giving a presentation entitled The Laskett Re-Invented about the ongoing development of his extensive gardens at The Laskett, near Ross-on-Wye.
