Which food to choose?

The more varieties of food you put out the greater the number of species you will attract. Birds will generally be tempted most by the food that offers them the best source of energy, so the higher the calories the better as far as birds are concerned. Its also worth pointing out that birds need a different amount of protein, energy and calories throughout the year, for example, it's best to feed fats and suets in the winter because they provide lots of protein to keep the birds warm.

We also have a number of different varieties to attract smaller birds and prevent large birds from monopolising your bird table. Below is a chart of which birds like which food the most and what time of year you can possibly see them in your garden.
