The W List

By Heather 11 years ago

Something called the W List was recently started by Valeria Maltoni to catalog the greatest women who blog. This list was picked up by Krishna De, one of our very own Podcast Sisters, who added some of her own favorite women bloggers, so I’ve decided to take up the call for the list to go viral and post it here, along with some recommendations of my own. So here are my contributions to the list. I’ve added them in alphabetical order to the list below.

Podcast Sisters

By Heather 12 years ago

Thank you WiRE women for all those kind comments.

Further to yesterday's post on WiRE get WiRED, here are a couple more links to help you understand the power of Social Media and a little bit more about The Podcast Sisters, made up of:

Anna Farmery who has based her whole business - The Engaging Brand on this medium. Her blog and podcast are very successful in terms of popularity and community. However the great thing is that she can explain it with a down to earth approach which cuts through much of the jargon based around this new medium. Maybe we need a WiRE day run by Anna to learn more about it all? (She is also speaking at this year's International New Media Expo in California if you feel like a trip off).

Krishna De is based in Ireland and her business is all about Brand Building and Business Development, with a particular enthusiasm for the opportunities new media brings.
She is an international author and managing director of Oneocean Ltd
She speaks on Social Media and explains Podcast Sisters in Business Growth News.

And then theres me - Heather, my role really is to ask the questions on the show and bring a small business perspective to the whole thing. You can find much more about how Wiggly Wigglers came to podcast - and the facts and figures here which is featuring in Joe Devlin's Business Podcasting Handbook.

To follow the launch of The Podcast Sisters subscribe to Women in Podcasting. If you have any questions you would like answering on social media either ask them here - or better still why not try posting them on Anna's or Krishna's Blog?
