A bit of an update

By Heather 11 years ago

Firstly, a big apology for the distinct lack of posts over the last couple of weeks, due to the fact that we are extremely busy in the office getting out all the Wiggly orders. In addition to this, a lot has been going on so here’s a quick update.

The great news is that the Wiggly Wigglers podcast won the category for best gardening podcast in the 2008 Mouse & Trowel awards. A big thank you goes out to all our podcast listeners who kindly voted for us and to the creator of the Mousies, as they are affectionately known, Colleen Vanderlinden at In the garden online.

This week, of course, the world famous Chelsea Flower Show is taking place and the equally world famous Terry Walton (as heard on Radio 2's Jeremy Vine Show, the Wiggly Wigglers podcast and now on his very own podcast) will be on the telly from there on Friday night. The picture above shows our very own Ricardo posing with Terry.

Whilst we don’t have a garden at Chelsea this year, we do have one at the Hay Festival site. The Hay Festival runs from the 22 May – 1 June inclusive and this year is celebrating its 21st birthday. We have an amazing garden on the festival site, complete with Valerie and Lillian the hens, Ryeland sheep with lambs and a veritable feast of wildflowers.

The Mouse & Trowel Awards

By Heather 11 years ago

The Mouse & Trowel awards are the brainchild of blogger Colleen Vanderlinden, who can be found In the garden online, to recognise online gardening heroes. The awards, which are affectionately known as the Mousies, are given out in May after the close of voting and include awards for the best gardening blogs, websites and podcasts.

Last year Wiggly Wigglers was voted the best gardening podcast, which was a great honour, and this is what was said at the time,

"Funny and informative, the podcast gives down-to-earth information and promotes green living in a very positive way. The more people follow their example, the better the world will be."

This year we are thrilled to announce that we have, again, been nominated for the Best Gardening Podcast.

If you enjoy listening to the jolly banter, “slightly” insane conversations and countryside info from the Wiggly sofa please rush off right now to vote for the team by clicking here.

The Wiggly Wigglers podcast team is Heather Gorringe, Phil Gorringe (aka Farmer Phil) and Richard Fishbourne (aka Ricardo).
