Bokashi Value Pack (19 litre)

This is the ideal start-up system for Bokashi composting. It includes 2 of our Bokashi Buckets in Cream and 1kg of Bokashi Active Bran - all loaded with beneficial micro-organisms - plus Instructions.
Start off your Bokashi composting with one of the buckets. Keep adding your waste mixed with the Bokashi Active Bran until this bucket is full, then set it aside and leave it for a fortnight. After this you can safely add the contents to your conventional composter or dig them into your garden where they will compost amazingly quickly. Meanwhile you can carry on composting using the second bucket.

Much, much better than the (very smelly) wormery - but just one problem, when I bury the waste after a couple of months fermentation, it is then invariably dug up (by badgers I think). Any suggestions as to how to avoid this?

I've only been using my buckets for 4 weeks, but i'm loving them and I can't believe how much food I was throwing in the bin. The first bucket is now full and pickling outside the back door. It didn't get 5 stars as I'm finding the lid rather awkward to get on and off, - maybe its because it is a new seal, - i've been putting the meal scraps in a lunchbox size box and then adding them in every day or so

We have used this system for several months now and it works really well. It takes us about a fortnight to fill a bin (family of four), so while one bin 'ferments' the other is being filled. We dig it into our vegetable garden with excellent results. Use the 'juice' as plant food and down the drains when we have too much.

On the 15th August, after carefull consideration an research I decided to purchase the EmPowered Composter Value Pack. What a brilliant system. For a family of three it took more than three weeks to fill the first bin (made a small compactor myself)then put it outside to pickle for two weeks whilst constantly draining off the juice, emptied into the compost bin on the Sunday, forked the compost over on the Friday no sign of the bin contents, had completely rotted, Amazing. Our wheelie bin now goes out almost empty. Great Great Great.

About 3 months ago I bought an EmPowered Composter Value Pack. I'm so delighted with it - one of the bins sits beside my kitchen sink and the 'ripening' one in the morning room. It's so easy to use and there is no smell. And my small back garden has now had two binloads added - I was astonished at how quickly the first broke down, even though you had told me so. I'm enthusiastically recommending the bokashi system to everyone.
