Wild Garlic
Allium ursinum Perennial bulb. A plant for damp shady places in woods, hedgerows and beside stream. Clusters of white flowers are produced on stems up to 40cm in height, a striking addition to the garden. The whole plant smells of onion. You should aim to plant 'drifts' of four to six plants close together to recreate the conditions in which the plants grow naturally, as this will help to produce wildlife friendly areas. They can be planted at almost any time of year, though care should be taken to keep new planting well watered in summer.
Available from mid October until late April.

They have taken 2 years to establish but I am now ordering more for my sister. Have you ever used the leaves in your green salad ? They have a mild garlic taste and are very nice.
